~The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federal program designed to improve the diet of children 12 years of age and younger that are enrolled in a licensed or registered Day Care Homes. This program was created by Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) and The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Not sure if the CACFP is for you? Here are some question frequently asked?
~You must keep accurate daily attendance records and a record of your monthly menus. Mail them to T&T Tutor World, Inc. postmarked no later that the 2nd of the month, or you can opt to maintain and submit your records online using Minute Menu.
~Receive bi-monthly newsletters with helpful recipes and menu ideas, as well as any changes in procedures that you need to know.
~Parents will have the piece of mind knowing that their children are being offered adequate portions of balanced snacks and meals, at no additional charge.
~Children can benefit more than anyone else! Developing healthy eating habits as a child will follow them into adulthood. They will have healthier teeth and bones. It will also help them maintain a healthy weight and better immune system. In the end, children will have less trips to the doctor.
